About Daily Grand

Draws happen twice every week on Monday and Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM PT (10:30 PM EAT).
Daily Grand Overview
Daily Grand was launched in October 2016 and is one of Canada’s newest lottery games that takes place across the country, rather than in just one province. It is operated by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation.
A Daily Grand ticket costs $3.00. In order to enter, participants must choose five numbers between 1 and 49 along with a Grand Number between 1 and 7.
Players must match at least the Grand Number in order to win a prize, and the more numbers matched means the larger the prize, all the way to the jackpot for matching all the numbers drawn.

Daily Grand Prize Table
There is a fixed jackpot of $1,000 per day for life for individual winners. In case there are multiple winners, a jackpot pool of $7 million will be shared and paid out as equal cash lump sums.
The second prize is $25,000 per year for life. If there are multiple winners, they would be sharing $50,000 instead. In total, there are nine prize tiers, all of which can be found below:

Payouts and Taxes
So what happens if you actually win a prize? Daily Grand prizes are paid out as cash lump sums. Players have one year to claim prizes.
All Daily Grand prizes are tax-free.
Jackpot winners have the option of going for a cash lump sum of $7 million. Second prize winners can also take a lump sum of $500,000 instead of the regular payment option.
The winners must decide whether they choose the cash lump sum or they go for the regular payment option within 60 days.
Winners will not be paid daily and will instead receive cash in instalments as agreed with the lottery operator.
