Ontario 49 Overview
Ontario 49 was launched on October 1, 1997 and is operated by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission. Its fixed jackpot of $2 million was established in May 2014. During that time, new prize tiers were also added, improving the odds of winning from 1 in 54 to 1 in 7 overall.
An Ontario 49 ticket costs $1.00, and in order to enter, participants must choose six numbers between 1 and 49. Players must match at least two numbers in order to win a prize.
