Ontario Pick Games Overview

Pick 3 was the first Pick Game offered in Ontario when it launched on January 16 1989. Since then the draw mechanics haven’t changed and instead the prizes have just increased to those you see today.

It wasn’t until Februaury 2006 that Pick 2 and Pick 4 were launched to bring three total pick games to Ontario. Initially all three were just held once a day until June 2012 when the additional draw at 2:00pm was added. Each of the three games offers different play methods and prizes depending on what you are looking for as a player.

Pick 2

A Pick 2 ticket costs $2.00. In order to enter, participants must choose two numbers from 0 to 9. Both of these numbers are chosen independently, therefore it is possible to pick the same number twice. Players win by either matching both digits or the first digit.

Pick 3

A Pick 3 ticket acts as a wager and it can be $1.00, $2.00, $5.00 or $10.00 per entry. The size of the wager acts as a prize multiplier. Participants must choose three numbers from 0 to 9. These three numbers are chosen independently, therefore it is possible to pick the same number two or three times. Players must also choose between Straight Play, or Box Play.

In order to win with Straight Play, your numbers need to match the numbers drawn in the exact order, whilst to win the Box Play, your numbers must match the numbers drawn in any order.

Pick 4

A Pick 4 ticket costs $1.00. In order to enter, participants must choose two numbers from 0 to 9. Both of these numbers are chosen independently, therefore it is possible to pick the same up to four times. Players can choose between Straight Play for a chance to win the jackpot or Box Play to win secondary prizes.
