Westerm Max Overview
Western Max was launched in 2013 by the Western Canada Lottery Corporation. Originally, draws were being held only on Fridays. On May 14, 2019 the Tuesday draw was added.
For three entries into the Western Max draw, players have to pay $2.00. Participants must choose seven numbers between 1 and 50. A Bonus Ball is randomly drawn as well.

There is a fixed jackpot of $2 million which does not roll over in case there is no jackpot winner. Besides the chance to win the grand prize, entries are valid for 14 additional draws which are being held at the same time. These 14 games are jackpot-only, for a chance to win $1 million.

Play Both
Participants can choose to enter the same numbers on both Lotto Max and Western Max tickets. Simply choose ‘Play Both’ on your selection slip or by asking the retailer. Extra can also be added for both for $2.00 and the numbers will be different.
Payouts and Taxes
So what happens if you actually win a prize? Western Max prizes are paid out as cash lump sums. Players have one year to claim prizes and all prizes are tax-free
